What is a personality?
A Horses personality is a major factor in how a horse performs and breeds. There are an array of different personality types with different abilities. For example, When you see a horse mentioned in chat as RRRRR it is a description of the horses personality. The letter indicates where the personality slider is on the horse, as demonstrated in the photo. You can find the personality bar by going to Horses->View My Horses->Choose Horse From List->Personality & Talents or by clicking on the horse you want in it's stall->info->Personality & Talents.
Personality Types
Flat Track Bully vs Big Racer
A Flat Track Bully will perform its best in non-stressful events such as: Cross Country, Regular Races, Barrel Racing, and Show Jumping. Big Racers perform their best under high stress situations such as Jousting Championships (Joust Champs) and Championships (Champs).
Unpredictable vs Professional
An unpredictable horse will not always perform to its max potential (+/- 5%), but when it does hit its max potential it will be of a higher ceiling than a professional horse. A professional horse will consistently hit a high level of performance.
Stubborn vs Adaptable
Stubborn horses will perform best when you choose the same target in Jousting. Adaptable horses want you to mix it up and choose different targets while Jousting to perform at it's best.
Jump Racer vs Flat Runner
A Jump Racer will perform better in Jump Races, Show Jumps, XC. A Flat Runner will have a higher max speed on flat ground events such as Barrels, Time Trials, Flat Races and Jousting.
Chaser Vs Front Runner
A Chaser will have a speed boost towards the end of the race when it is not leading it. A Front Runner will get a speed boost when leading a race at the beginning but start to tire towards the middle and end.

Talent Points
What are talent points and where can I find them?
Talent points are the 'stars' you can gain to increase your horses performance and usability. Horses can be born with upto 12 talent points and earn an additional 1 talent point for every 5 levels gained. The more talents they're born with the sooner they'll perform and breed well. You can access the talent point window by visiting your horse and selecting the 'Personality & Talents' button. This Will take you to the personality and talents page where you can toggle between perso and talents via a secondary button in the top right.
Breeding Talents
Once your horse has reached Level 30, it unlocks Top Breeder talent points. These talent points are vital in increasing the chances of a high talent point born foal (the goal is to aim for 10-12tpb foals). Horses intended for breeding purposes have what we refer to as a 'typical tp placement'. This means for each personality type there is a specific talent point layout. See the above table's 'Typical tps' row for personality based talent placement. With breeding horses it is recommended you dont place any additional talent point stars outside of the typical placement, except for top breeder talent points.
Example- You have a mare and stud that were both born with 12 talent points you want to breed. In order to obtain the highest chances of 10-12 talent point offspring you would level the mare and stud to level 45, place the talents gained *only* in the boxes already displaying points (typical tp placement) and place the 3 remaining talent points in the Top Breeder box prior to breeding the pair. This gives the best chance of a high talent born foal!
Competition talents
If a horse is not intended for breeding and is solely intended for competition use only, owners can place as many talent points in any box at their own discretion. It is recommended to start of with the typical tp placement initially still however. It is important to consider the pros and cons fully before placing all talent points. While adding extra tps to your horse can positively increase their performance in competitions, keep in mind in some cases it can impact its saleability if you later wish to sell the horse, as many players favour the typical tp placement for breeding purposes and may refer to this as messy tps.
